State Rep Phil King tryng to eliminate the property tax

State Rep. Phil King has taken a step by introducing a constitutional amendment that would begin devoting a portion of future surplus dollars to property tax relief. Legislators should be encouraged to back HJR 38. These local Super Saving Accounts aka Fund Balances need to be addressed in this legislation as well.

"Your school taxes are twice as high as your city taxes and your local superintendent the snake oil salesman of the district is always looking for a way to cash in on the district greatest asset..Your Children.

We need more buildings, we need more staff, we aren't getting paid enough, we need,we want and therefore we grab the wallets of the taxpayer and throw the education of your children to the dogs. Get rid of term contracts that allow superintendents and administrators to be paid off when they don't do their job. You would be fired at your job for what they do but they get paid and BIG.

Example Cleburne ISD's CFO was a big part of the reason TEA investigated the district for 16 months and found them guilty of federal fund misuse. We have been fined $362,000 so far, put under sanctions and assigned a TEA monitor at $75 per hour paid for by the taxpayers. Where is the CFO? He still works at the district making $102,000 per year or $451 dollars a day. He was a Certified Public Accountant and his dues are paid by Mr. & Mrs Taxpayer. How much has not been examined by auditors yet? Over 15 million. Less than 1 million was audited and 44% of that was deteremined as misuse."
