What is it about these guys? First Geithner and now Daschel. Both of these guys should no better. Perhaps the IRS was providing favorable treatment due to their status. If this had been the average 'joe' the IRS would have brought out the hounds in order to get the money into the US coffers. Makes you wonder who is paying their fair share and who is not!
If Obama was any kind of leader he would have asked these guys to step aside. If these guys had any character they would not have put Obama in this situation. After all Bill Richardson withdrew his consideration. It is not just a Demo/Rep thing. This is the lack of moral character in the US society in general today. It is getting harder to trust and give people the benefit of the doubt.
After this piece was pinned former Senator Daschel decided to do the honorable and withdraw his nomination. Now I wonder if the driving force was his honor are the fact he was going to forfeit the $2,000,000 a year he currently draws from the law firm for which he works?
