Cast your ballot today. Apathy destroys democracy and capitalism! Don't play into the hands of those who want a government run society.
Both parties contain folks who are bad for the vision our founding fathers sought, so know the background of the individuals who you intend to put in office. Do these individuals represent what our founding fathers envisioned for this new country? In one particular race I will hold my nose as I cast a vote for an individual I dislike; however, the individual best represents what our founding fathers intended.

Camp County needs to start having good Republican candidates running for office. This county is 65%-70% Republican but votes for the Democratic candidate because people just like them better. Take the County Judge race, It could easly be a Republican but the people that have ran for it this year and in the past or just people that the majority don't like. In the next election the Republican party in Camp County needs to step it up and get people to run that people in this county know and like.
(D) Cravey beat (R) Wiley 62% to 38% .... Like I said, not even close. I really hope the Republican party in Camp County steps it up! Stop letting people that cause more problems then they do trying to solve them. Stop getting people that go to school board meetings and them and their spouses sit there and talk bad about everything going on and have no common sense. Stop electing people that just now start showing up to events, like Friday night football games, to try to play the political card. People in Camp County see right through that kind of political game. This was the only race I voted for the (D)! Maybe next time...
Only about 41% of registered voters voted in camp county with 54% of those electing Perry as Gov.
"Stop letting people that cause more problems then they do trying to solve them. Stop getting people that go to school board meetings and them and their spouses sit there and talk bad about everything going on and have no common sense."
What problems has Mr. Wiley been responsible for? You feel that folks who attend school board meetings are not good candidates for office? Perhaps you have a suggestion for a County Judge candidate that the local Republican Party can work to recruit for the next election cycle. I am sure the local Republican Party is open to a suggestion.
Popularity and Voting
Constitutional, you suggest that a GOP candidate for County Judge of Camp County should be well known and liked. In other words a candidate should be popular. Is that all? What about intelligence and the ability to solve complex problems?
If popularity is all that is required there are many such people. For example the former school board member who was so popular that he could drink and drive and still be elected to the school board. Another candidate might be the school board member who served as principal of the high school with out being certified. Then there is a writer with a column in the local paper that claims to be blessed with common sense and to be highly trained as an observer.
Constitutional, I think that you understand the mentality of local voters and that many of them vote like grade school children. They are influenced by one another. Too few of those who vote in Camp County think for themselves or understand the issues involved. Too many people vote for candidates on the basis of name recognition or political party.
Mr. Wiley’s opponent won because he was the incumbent, had name recognition, and was a democrat.
You are wrong to imply that Mr. Wiley ever said anything negative about the PISD. In fact he mentioned the PISD in a positive way in his campaign.
Texas R Us... yes he did say plenty of negative things about leaders in the community and PISD, to those around him in the crowd and his wife with her far off thoughts.... She would argue with those around her about P.E. not being required in school!! I'm not saying that if your popular people should or will vote for you. But people know you better, understand you, and know what you stand for. And the incumbent won because his last name was not Wiley, the same for if someone ran against someone with the last name Roe... It's just a bad candidate! Because they are soooo far out there that they dont think straight.
Constitutional, your “thinking” appears to be simple and typical of people who are influenced by rumors. Such people are prone to make quick and biased decisions. This is mainly because of their limited academic training and thinking abilities. Their deficiencies may or may not be entirely their fault.
Your statements about people with last names like Wiley or Roe being bad candidates because they or their wives are disliked reveals much about your thinking. Have you considered the possibility that the resistance to change might be a factor?
I doubt that you are capable of understanding people who have learned to think in more complex ways than yourself. Your writing does not appear to be that of a well-educated person.
You seem to interpret rumors about people or events as being either positive or negative. Your ability to make quick decisions based on limited information and understanding may have had survival value in the distant past, but in the modern world that ability is a “liability of ignorance”.
You seem to believe that community leaders, their job performance and the existing programs should not be criticized. It is because of people who think like you that our public schools are a disgrace and our young athletes are exploited to entertain the community. It is because of people who think like you that our school programs are driven by athletics.
Constitutional, your thinking seems a lot like the former school board member who drank too much in public. You and he must have gone to the same bad school. I hope that you are not he.
Incidentally, I have demonstrated my ability to think, solve complex problems, and to make positive contributions to society. See me on the Internet.

Who said anything about rumors? And you lead the group of those that like to spread rumors.
"I have demonstrated my ability to think, solve complex problems, and to make positive contributions to society." .... I dont think you have, but your opinion has just as much meaning as mine. :)
I would think if you were so smart, then people would listen to you or care, but they don't, sorry. Keep up the great work, see you at the annual Bob Roe is Almighty rally!
Is Bubba Back?
Constitutional, why do you use the same phrases that Bubba used? Were you born the way that you are or did the schools do it to you? Did you wear your helmet when you played football?
If you organize a rally, I will come to meet you and your supporters. We can call the rally "Young Bubba Meets Old Bob" or “Dumb Meets Dumber”. We can respond to questions from those present. We can invite the county. I will pay for an ad in the PG. Do you accept my offer?

" Both parties contain folks who are bad..." That is the truest statement I have read in a long time. The only party that represents what the founding fathers envisioned is the Libertarian Party, LPTexas.org, I did not have to hold my nose when I voted, I voted strait Libertarian.
