Districts weigh end of homestead exemption

ISDs say they are going to have deficits due to less property tax revenue being received and falling property values. Do they really have a deficit? Most likely NOT! They have a spending problem and got used to having the ability to end each year with a budget surplus. However, in order to cover their false deficits they are looking at ending the optional school-property-tax homestead exemption.

Looks like the 'fat hogs' plan on rescinding the exemptions in the name of needing more money to spend. Where do they get these school people?
