What is a school trustee's favorite extracurricular activity? Spending taxpayer money!
Educrats and most school trustee's seem to have a hard time understanding the concept of education. Most believe that bigger and newer buildings are the answer to their problems. Most know that these buildings don't take the TAKS exams and the building has very little to do with student success.
Schools are not the only problem! Cities and Counties have a spending problem as well.

THANK YOU!! To Jeff Sneed, Bob Roe and his followers for the pain that the school system is now going through!!
Today the band director resigned due to the bond election failing.
He was one of the highest rated band directors in the State. He turned around the program at the high school and brought an award winning program to the school.
Thanks to the bond election failure, he will not have enough room for the 130 students coming into the program that is only suitable for 70 to 80. He says he cannot deal with that.
The school will now start to see a domino effect thanks to the scare tactics by the nay-sayers!!!

Bad Director did not leave because the bond election failed. Band director left because he lives in the Longview area and he was offered a job in the Longview area. "He says he cannot deal with that." If he truly loved the program here at Pittsburg he would have stayed regardless. He will get to spend more time with his wife and children and not be on the road an extra two hours a day. Plus he will cut down on his fuel cost.
Did you know he had considered leaving before there was ever any talk about a bond election?
To correct one more point - the band program was already an award winning program before he arrived. He took over an award winning program. If he was one of the highest rated band directors then why has he not gone to a larger band program?
There were more in the camp of not supporting the bond than those who did support it. It appears that a lot of folks were saying they were in support, but when it came time to vote they really were not in support of the bond.
The PISD never made a case for the bond. Most saw through the staged photos that were contained in the local paper. This district has bad leadership and it needs a house cleaning from top to bottom!
As to Mr. Sneed you have slandered his name with your posting about lies. The posting will be removed.
...because it is you, thats why you deleted it. He did leave because of the bond. Fact, his wife was going to come to work here. They moved there for his wife and she did not like it there, they were going to come back. Just this past friday, 3 high school teachers/coaches left, a very good math teacher at the high school, and jr high teachers: all because of the bond!! wait and see, more will start to leave because of your lies!! The band was not an award winning band before he came, ask, look it up. Ohh thats right, you only write stuff that fits with your own agenda.
Band director said, "I can not deal with 130 students that I do not have room for."
Teachers are starting to leave for greener pastures, thats what he did.

The bond failed because the nay-sayers told lies and got people together and got them to vote. Many many people did not vote because they thought it would pass, and only nay-sayers went. Go check out the names yourself.

And if you think the paper pictures were staged.... Go to the damn schools yourself!!! Stop acting like you have been and act like a caring human being.
